It sure was great to be able to jam with Eleanor again. He understood that her priorities were not there while she tried to recover, he didn't hold any kind of grudge against her for that. That was not her fault if she ended up at the hospital. It sucked however to see your entire career put on hold and have your whole future unstable. Especially when you planned on buying a house and had a kid on the way. Jerry had money, he was not doing too many impulsive purchases and Sarah helped him stay in check. She was so nervous about everything he didn't want to add money either. Besides, he was not about sports car and luxury stuff, not for him anyway, and his parents didn't want all that expensive stuff. It helped to save money.
Jerry thought the future was bright now that Ellie was ready to rock again. Sure, he would still work on his solo album but he was glad he could get the band back together. Ellie had such a great voice, it was always a pleasure to work with her, not just because of that but her personality as well. Unlike her, he didn't pay attention to Dom as they played, he was having too much fun. Jerry always looked like an excited kid. He was grinning more than the Cheshire Cat. "Right? Wait 'til they hear it too!" He could call the others but he didn't want to push Ellie too far because of his enthusiasm.
He was just as happy to hear Dom being enthusiastic as well. It was just the rough sketch of what it could become, it was a little hesitant at first and there was not all of the vocals and instrumentlisation there can be. He knew Dom had a great and powerful voice as well. Such voices needed work and care. If one could understand and appreciate her voice, it should be a guy like him, provided his ego was not getting in the way. This was not the case here. He laughed as he repeated how he wanted a duet with the two fo them. "Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, Ellie. You better get in shape soon then."

Ellie was happy to be back with at least one of her band members. Jerry had always been a good friend and she could easily imagine him as a father. She was happy for him and would have to congrats Sarah too when she would see her again as she had met the girl a few times already since she was dating him. She had fun jamming as well, it reassured her on her music as she had been writing a lot when she was resting but she missed playing and singing in front of crowds even if she was generally shy. She wasn’t shy when it was time to scream lyrics at crowds.
She was aware that she couldn’t exactly perform again on stage but she was certainly looking forward to it and she was glad that her friend was enthusiastic about it. She smiled at him and nodded, wanting to meet up again with them soon. “Hopefully I’ll be well soon enough so we can jam for real.” She said. Sure, it was a jamming session but she wanted to be with everyone else again.
She blushed a bit when she heard Dom’s voice in the booth as he said he would make sure she would have a solo in his song when he would write it. She was honestly curious about what he could do since she knew that their genre may be similar but she was more rock than he was. “We can work something out.” She said with a small smile. She was a bit embarrassed as showing material to a fellow musician wasn’t like showing it to the crowd as they knew how much work you put into a song.
