Jerry didn't necessarily talked a lot to Dominic in the past but he knew the guy. You had to live under a rock with no wi-fi not to know him. He knw the guy could be a show off but Jerry also thought he had talent. People sometimes misstook energy for arrogance, just like you apparently didn't have the right to point out all you had done or else you were a snob. It was why Jerry didn't think it was necessarily a bad thing to be a show off. It all depended on the person. He doubted an arrogant person would offer for them to share his recording room.
No need for the musicians however. Ellie and himself were able to do it on their own, especially for a jamming sessions. It was not like they were recording the song to put it in an album, they were checking whether they could do it or not. Asfor the collab, she did not say yes but did not say no either. "I think the band calls dibs on her first live performance," he told Dom. He didn't mind her making a song with him, he just thought it would be best that she first appeared with the band. No need to let people wonder whether the band would still be together or not.
Now that they knew which room to go to, he removed the USB drive from the computer, handed it back to Ellie and took a hold of her wheelchair to lead her towards the recording studio. He figured it would be simpler, especially with a drumset. It could take so long to set it all up and since it was all ready in his room, he thought it was stupid to lose time moving things around. She didn't mind for Dominic to listen to them so he walked expecting him to follow them.

Ellie was glad that he seemed to understand her situation and what Jerry said made her laugh. It was true that she had to start up with a live performance with her band first. It would be great to be back on stage but she didn’t think it would be soon. It wouldn’t stop her from recording songs though and be ready for her return. They would have enough time to practice and be perfect for their first performance in a long time. They would have to call their band member and see what they could come out with.
She was still happy that Dominic was willing to lend her his studio and instruments. “Thank you though for your studio and instruments.” She said to him and smiled a bit. She wasn’t as outspoken as they clearly was but she was used to be around people like them. Ellie was also very polite around everyone she was with. It wasn’t news you just had to look at the interview that she had with several people who often said that she was cute and clearly didn’t look like she could scream lyrics on stage.
She grabbed the USB drive and smiled at Jerry, letting him lead her towards the said studio so they could actually try some stuff.

Dominic was happy to know that he would have a collaboration with Eleanore Bates. He knew that she had those pipes and it was almost funny picturing someone like her having them. Though, he was aware that it wasn’t always all about the looks, even if he did look good if he had to say. He smirked at the thought but then nodded at them when they said they wanted a band performance before she would get to perform with him first.
“It’s fine, I have yet to set up the CD and find all of my collaborators.” He said to them. It was a project in process so of course, it would take him some time before getting the songs done and starting to record these. He had started writing them but he didn’t have a lot of these done.
He followed them towards his recording studio and let Jeremy and Eleanore pass first so they could get the instruments they wanted and needed for their jam session.

Sure, Jerry would love to get the band together and record but Ellie already did a lot today, with her physical therapy and all. Sure, they worked very hard in their job, but she needed to take it easy for now. He didn't want for her to fall down and have to do it all over again. He would then have to wait even longer for them to tour together again. "Yeah, thanks man. We'll be able to rock the place down!" he said with enthusiasm, repeating after her when she thanked Dominic. It was importnat, sure, it was just that sometimes his enthusiasm made him forget about things like that, even if he meant it.
He didn't mind if Dominic followed them and listened to them work. It was alright, as the man knew how a studio worked and how you should behave there. He wouldn't ruin it all, even if it was just a jamming session, by talking while they're performing or playing with the recording console. Because of this, he didn't pay as much attention to him and focused more on setting Ellie and placing the mic so she could sing in it despite sitting in her wheelchair.
"You want a guitar with that?" he asked her as he moved the instruments around so he could also set the drum.

Ellie laughed a bit at Jerry’s enthusiasm when they were heading towards the studio that Dominic was willing to let them have. He was really nice, and she didn’t mind letting him hearing her music. She didn’t see him as a threat after all. She knew that he was good at what he was doing but she also was confident in her own skills; she didn’t stop doing music after her accident. It was her passion and she was willing to live on it as much as her comrades did.
She nodded when they made it to Dominic’s studio and smiled when he asked about a guitar. “Of course.” She said happily. She wouldn’t go anywhere without a guitar in hands. She felt empty without one. She was aware that generally rock stars were guys and you rarely saw a girl doing this but she was happy to prove them wrong with her work.
She let him work on the drum and moved her wheelchair towards the instruments so she could get the guitar and hopefully not get into Jerry’s way.

Dominic then took a seat when he was at their studio and watched them. It’s not like he could do anything much for them. He would if they asked for his help but he didn’t want to impose himself. He may be a showman but he knew when to give people their respective space when they needed it. He could understand that Ellie might need hers and not just because of her wheelchair. “Just ask for it if you need help.” He said through the mic so they could hear him from the booth.
He gave them a thumb up before he made himself comfortable. He was willing to play with the recording buttons for them if they needed a hand or wanted to try to record their own demo.

Maybe it was not a good idea to let Dominic hear but Jerry didn't think it would necessarily be a bad thing if they inspired him for a song. As long as he didn't steal it completely. But it would be hard to determine how much he would have stolen it if they were to play it for the first time. A song can sound very different from its demo version and she admitted herself that she didn't give it exactly the sound their band normally had. For all he cared, Dom could take all the parts they wouldn't use, but that was more for Ellie to decide, considering it was her song.
Ellie wanted the guitar so he gave it to her, letting her tune it as she liked. It was likely done already, since Dom just came back from recording music himself, but he let her make sure of it and be comfortable with the instrument. He had to do the same with the drum set after all.
He grinned at Dom's suggestion. That was thoughtful, but he was certain they were fine. "We're all good. Just sit and listen to a real rock band in action,." Okay, so there was only the two of them from their band. He looked at Ellie. "You start and I'll try to follow you." It was her song after all. He may be a good musician, he couldn't recreate a song after hearing it only once.

Ellie knew that she would be fine here with Jerry as they would start recording their song together and thought that Dominic was being nice offering his help. She didn’t think he would go as far as stealing her material and was glad that he respected her wish to perform with the band first before doing a duet with him. He did seem like a pretty busy man, much busier than she was if she was honest. She had heard of his parties – because who hasn’t?
She laughed a bit when Jerry bragged about their music and shook her head when she was done tuning her guitar. It was all good, she thought before smiling slightly. Music really had been her element and while she was stuck in bed or forced to rest, she had ended up writing songs that were much more powerful with a rock sound. Sure, their band was a genre of rock but not like what she had written.
“Okay.” She said before she started playing her riffs to let Jerry start up with the drums before she’d actually start singing. He needed to hear the intro first, and even if he did she was willing to let his inspiration come through. She always enjoyed the creative process.

Dom smiled at them both when they were confident enough with their songs. That’s what you needed to survive Hollywood; confidence and drive. It mattered a lot when you wanted to make it big and while he was surprised that Eleanore was so modest about herself and her talent in general, he had a feeling that she at least had the confidence in her talent. Who wouldn’t? He certainly didn’t expect her guitar skills but just like she had heard of him, he heard of her too and he was impressed by it.
He let them perform and listened to her work, studying Eleanore as he remained thoughtful and enjoyed the melody. It was almost a comical sight, but he had to admit that a woman with a guitar in hand was always hot, especially an electric one. He was intrigued to see how Jerry would follow up though and let them play along while enjoying the riffs himself. He definitely would have to write a song that would expose her talent to the world.

It was not like Jerry worried about Dom. Sure, he had a reputation, but he didn't think he was affected by it. He may be bisexual but Jerry was not and happy in couple. No doubt Dom would respect that. He also did not worry for Ellie's song but he figured if there was one thing that might bother her, it would be that, for she was not all that good at noticing when a guy flirted with her. It would appear Ellie was not worried so Jerry did not either.
Jerry didn't really know the song but he was confident he would pick up the beat pretty fast to add some drums, allowing Ellie to listen what her song can sound like with some. It was not like he had to sing, she was the singer in the band. At best was he doing back vocals, and that would be for another day, when they would record that part, if they ever did that.
Jerry couldn't hide he was curious to see Dom's reaction when she would sing. She was so different when she did. From the sweet and innocent she was normally, she would become a rock queen with the voice and confidence that goes with it. Jerry picked up quickly and followed her. He didn't try to do something too flashy and steal the show on her song. If hey wanted to add a drum solo, there would be time later. For now, he wanted to see what he could do that would enhance the song.

Ellie didn’t mind having Dom as an audience. It wasn’t bothering her even if she was shy to sing her new material. She always was more drawn back than her sister and shyer than her too. That didn’t mean she couldn’t sing or perform when she needed to be. She smiled when she kept playing the guitar not bothered by the fact that Dominic was listening to them. She instead was focusing on the song and started singing the lyrics with the power of her voice.
It was the way she found to express herself and she loved it. Music had always been her passion and it had helped her go through her accident without being forced to do nothing. She used the time off instead to write new songs and they were ones that she liked a lot. She wanted to go back on stage and missed performing, don’t get her wrong! She just wished that she could heal better so it could happen because she felt like doors were opening on her again and that she was getting something great done.

Dominic zoned a bit as he listened to Ellie play the guitar. She certainly knew how to nail it and he could only imagine how many hours that she had used to practice. It was pretty much as much as he used to work on his vocals. He knew how to recognize talent without considering it as a threat. He wasn’t one with many enemies and he was really looking forward to having a duet with her.
His eyes widened a bit when she sang because while he did expect that she had pipes, he never thought that she would sing like that. Not when she would look so sweet and innocent! That was just so strange and yet inspiring at the same time. He sat more properly and focused on them, though mostly on Ellie if he had to say focused on her voice. He definitely needed to write a song that would show their talent equally and was already thinking of a concept. He never thought he’d have muse for one coming out so quickly but she sure was inspiring!

Jerry loved those jamming sessions. There was nothing better to give your creativity a boost, especially when doing so with other people. He really needed his own studio or at least soundproof room for him to practice in in their future house. This was a requirement, along with the nursery for their child. And who knows what Sarah would want. Jerry was ready to offer it to her.
In the meantime, he focused on Eleanor and the music they were making together. It was a good thing that, despite how nervous Sarah always happened to be, she had never been insecure towards his relationship with Ellie. If she was, Jerry never noticed it. The song was even better when Ellie started singing. He didn't bother looking at Dom while they performed. He knew how impressive it was to hear her. Even if you might have heard her on the radio, it did not beat her live. The sad truth was that they loved editing the sound in such way that everything was equally loud, thus making it very different sometimes from the 'live' product. But one thing was for sure, Ellie had the voice.
"See, I told you it could fit our band," he said with a grin after the song. He looked at their famous spectator. "What did you think of it?"

Ellie was enjoying the jamming session they were having. She had missed it, playing with the band and performing. Even if she might appear as someone shy at first, she thought that music was a great way for her to express herself. She knew that people were impressed by her vocals but she never bragged about it. She focused on her playing and singing. She couldn’t help but glanced at Dominic when she did and noticed his expression. She blushed a bit and focused on the song instead and the guitar playing. It was nice and even if she was a bit tired, nothing would stop her from playing music. She might be in a wheelchair but it wasn’t stopping her from singing and playing the guitar!
She then finished and placed her guitar onto her lap before smiling a bit at Jerry. “I’m glad we could think of something together.” She said to Jerry. She was happy that this one would fit, but would the others do so? She wondered and worried a little but it wasn’t the time for this.
It was incredibly quiet when they were done though and she looked at Dominic curiously since the song was still a draft she was curious to hear what he thought of it.

Dom looked at them perform and spaced out a little. She really was good and he thought of the possibilities that he could do with Eleanor. He thought it was a shame that they mixed her vocals in their album but they did the same with his and he knew that he had pipes too. He’d have to make sure that his song could showcase both of their voices, as well as her guitar talent. He took mental notes of this and barely realize that Jerry was talking to him from the other side of the studio. He startled a bit and then smiled at them and gave them thumbs up.
“It was great!” He said through his mic so they could hear him. “Eleanor, I’ll make sure you can jam on your guitar in our duet.” He them said as he pressed again on the button to talk to them and grinned at her. There was no ways he would pass on that!
