MINORI AIKO YUKIMURA
Minori is straightforward and dynamic, and one can never truly guess what she might do next. She is unpredictable as she is loyal, and is protective of those she cares about. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and is a bit of a tomboy in many ways. She isn't very in touch with her feminine side except for when she's acting, and so she gets easily embarrassed in everyday situations that would call for it - for example, being flirted with is more or less a nightmare for Nori. Minori is a bit abrasive, but she means well, and even if she can get overwhelmed in overly feminine or romantic situations, overall, she is a trustworthy and loyal friend who will do anything for those that she cares about. She is polite and reserved when she needs to be, like in professional environments, but when around her friends, she can truly act like herself.
Unlike most Japanese cultural habits, Minori was gifted with a middle name when she was born. Both of her parents were somewhat Western in their everyday approach to life and in their interests, and this showed throughout her life. Minori was born and raised in Saitama, Japan, a city not too far away from Tokyo. Minori is the youngest of two; her half-brother is four years older than herself. Nori's half-brother was born to her mother and an American man who was part of the U.S. Military force that was stationed in Tokyo. Minori's mother was living in Tokyo at the time, and began a relationship with the man who became Minori's brother's father, but due to the American leaving Japan at the end of his service, the couple broke up before either of them knew of their son's existence. Minori's mother moved to Saitama after she did find out, and about a year later, she met and fell in love with a Japanese man, who she ended up marrying and who ended up being Minori's biological father and the adopted father of Minori's half-brother.
Growing up, Nori and her half-brother attended an international school, so they were both bilingual in Japanese and English. Nori and her brother both excelled in the arts, Nori in drawing, painting, theatre, and music specifically. Nori was a naturally gifted artist and singer, and won many competitions for the latter as she grew older. After graduating high school, Nori originally planned to go to a university in Tokyo to study Fine Arts, but she had barely graduated when she was sought out by a talent agency for her skills. Over the next two years, Minori quickly became well known as a successful voice actress, for which job she would often have singing roles. When it was clear that she and her half-brother had truly found their calling, they decided to move to Los Angeles in order to further pursue their talents. While in the new, invigorating environment, Minori ended up getting a job as a makeup artist, putting her drawing and painting skills to good use; she still remained well known for her voice acting abilities, and continued to work in that field as well, both as an actress and a singer. Even though she no longer lived in Japan, she remained a top choice for many productions, and to this day often records for Japanese animated series all the way from LA, in addition to her steady work in the U.S.
Nori now lives with her half-brother in LA as well as her best friend. The three of them share an apartment in the Palm Woods.
