Franck seemed a little more fidgety than usual. It was true that partying was also not the kind of activity you'd often see him doing. He rarely hit bars and clubs. But he wanted to get his mind off things and went to Dom about it, which meant that he was bound to do something much wilder than what he would normally do. It was funny sometimes how they managed to be friends. Franck never thought of himself as an introvert, far from it, but in comparison to the other guy, he really didn't sound very outspoken. It was hard to really enjoy himself though. He had invited Charles. The two had a bit of an awkward situation since their last encounter when Franck tried his luck on him, but Franck eventually managed to speak to him as ask if they could just forget it and be as usual. Then he invited, or more like his brother, to a party Dom would hold, or at least that Dom invited him to. Since there would be a bunch of people from the music industry there, and having heard that his brother wanted to become a musician, he thought it could be a good opportunity to rub ebows with the right people. He said he could make sure they could get in if Charles wanted. He wasn't sure if he would come. In fact, he was more leaning towards the fact that he would not. Meaning that he should really just forget about it and have some fun. Dom would no doubt remind him of that if not ditch him for more interesting people if he kept at it. "I'll go get a drink," he told the other man as he got up. He had been sipping on his previous one but it had been empty for a little while already. He didn't like drinking too much, and he felt like he didn't have a very high tolerance, but he also thought that a bit more might just help him get the edge off and relax for once. Maybe even let himself be convinced by Dom when the guy will introduce him to someone who might be interested in him, regardless of how bad an idea he thought it was for now. As he ordered the drink, he pulled out his phone and checked if he had any message. Maybe Charles warned him that he could not be there after all or something. Then he wouldn't have to think about it. He doubted that would work, but he still thought that at the time. He pocketed his phone and grabbed his drink as it arrived. He was about to head back to where his friend was when he saw him. "You came," he said to CHARLES HILLS with some surprise in his voice. He was pleased about it, strangely enough, and relieved. It must mean that things would go back to normal for sure, if he agreed to come. He looked around, wondering if he would see some younger guy resembling him tagging along that he could identify as his brother.

A good argument to convince Charles to come to an event related to music was his brother. It was Luke’s dream and while he had chances to go there, Charles couldn’t help but agree to Franck’s invitation despite what happened between them a few weeks earlier. He went past that, of course, since he didn’t get the right signals as he clearly wasn’t into guys but that didn’t stop him from not wanting to come here. He had to keep an eye on Luke; knowing how the industry could be sometimes, he wanted to make sure that he got the right people to go after him. Don’t get him wrong though, he supported his dreams even if it seemed that it was the other way around. It just that his private life mattered to him a lot. While it was hard to let Luke go, he decided that he would go to a bar, so he wouldn’t find him too glued to him. His brother was capable of selling himself if he needed it. He’d just sit in the back, and watch over him, no big deal there. It was why he decided to go to the bar, aware that he might see Franck again if it ever happened.
He didn’t notice the other guy though when he ordered a drink. It was only when Franck spoke to him that he noticed he was there and nodded his head at him. He knew that it was hard to get him to become his friend but he wasn’t completely asocial either otherwise, he would have picked the wrong job.
“I wanted to see how Luke would do around here.” He said to Franck as he glanced at Luke just to make sure he would still spot him. They were both adults, indeed, but he was still the protective brother and even if Luke sometimes questioned him on if he was fine, he answered that he was. Why wouldn’t he be?

Franck didn't know what kind of person Charles' brother was, but if they were anything alike, he assumed that he would be intimidated by someone like Dominic. But there were many other people around he could talk to. Would Charles show up though? He could decide that, since it was his brother's dream, he was the one who should go and not expect his older brother to always be there to hold his hands through things. Franck would have helped him had he showed up in his face, despite not knowing the guy, out of respect for Charles. But he was relieved to see that he chose to come as well.
They didn't get the chance to talk a whole lot since the last time when Franck embarrassed himself, in more ways than one thanks to the thunder outside. He hoped they would have the chance to now, even if he knew he should head back to Dom at some point. At the same time, he knew that his friend wouldn't hold a grudge if Franck ended up ditching him, far from it. He'd tease him and possibly ask for details later. Dom loved to let his diva side show up at those times.
Franck nodded, forcing himself to remember that the guy's name was Luke. It would be useful to remember that. "And how is he doing so far?" He did get the feeling, from previous conversation with Charles, that it would be easier to have him talk of his brother than of himself. If he got him relaxed, then they could talk freely. Again, he didn't think Dom was waiting for him too much so he didn't think like he had to be quick about this. They could just chat.

You didn’t have to be blind to see that Charles and his brother Luke might have some similarities, physically and also in terms of personality but they were also quite different, almost opposites in a way. Luke was much more of a social bee and he bet he wouldn’t be that intimidated if Dominic Smith was ever to talk to him. Even if it wasn’t a place where his brother could hang out at due to his age and the presence of alcohol, being around him probably helped into getting him in. Besides, he wanted his brother to have his opportunities too and he would do anything he could to support the man.
He couldn’t help but tower over Luke at times, not wanting his private life to be exposed to the medias much. He didn’t do this because he did not want to open up to his fans though, but they understood that it was important to him and they tended to respect that even if sometimes they came to him for autographs and pictures, which he rarely said no to; he wasn’t rude either even if he gave the impression sometimes that he was someone cold.
He didn’t think that Franck was still thinking of him as a potential date, because it would have been more awkward if it was the case and he didn’t feel as tensed about it. “He’s doing definitely better than how I’d do.” He admitted as he gestured his head towards his brother who seemed to enjoy himself while talking to Dominic Smith himself.

Franck didn't see Charles as someone cold. He was an introvert who valued his private life. Franck may be more sociable, but he should probably be a little more like Charles at times. He grew up with the public, being a child actor and all, which made him share perhaps more than he should have at times, just because people already knew so much from all that time he had been on their screens.
He took Charles' words as a way of saying that his brother was more of a natural when it came to talking to people. Still, he felt the need to temper his criticism of himself. "Don't be so hard on yourself. You clearly know how to do it when needed, if you've got where you are." This was not an attempt at flirting with him, just his natural good side showing up. He didn't even think that it could be interpreted as flirting. He smiled and nodded though, since they were talking of his brother. "It's good that he's comfortable though."
He then realised who Luke was talking to. Or more like, he noticed his friend and realised that he was in the direction of Charles' gaze and talking to someone who looked a lot like him and so assumed. "Wow, going straight to Dom too. Well, at least it means I won't have to introduce them to one another, he's done that on his own..." He was glad for him.

Charles didn’t often attend to events unless it was related to what the projects he was involved with. This time though, it was for his brother and he was willing to help and give the push in the right direction. After all, the guy had talent and anyone who didn’t see it was blind. It might be because his opinion was biased but he thought he would make it with a fan base if his brother played his cards right. Sure, he would have to be coached by the right people but he would leave it to the plugs he’d find later on.
He glanced at Franck when he said that he shouldn’t be too hard on himself. He didn’t see it that way, he was aware that he was less comfortable around people and even less around people with Franck’s personality. He tended to be introvert and would take two steps back whenever someone was coming closer to him and it wasn’t only because Franck kissed him while assuming he was into boys. Eh, it was a funny moment he supposed, something he would laugh about in the future as he could see that Franck was someone reliable and someone good to have on your side.
He smirked a little amused by his brother’s guts. Definitely born to be big. “That’s my bro.” he said jokingly, as he raised his cup, not noticing that Dominic had been giving them looks. He didn’t think much more of it quite honestly.

Franck was quite the social butterfly himself. He didn't like being alone, at least not for too long. He needed people around him, even if he did not necessarily interacted with them, although he did a lot of that too. He could understand that not everyone was like him. As weird as it may seem, his line of work could attract a lot of introverts. It was the case for Charles, according to the guy himself. His brother on the other hand seemed to be doing better.
It made Franck wonder if Charles was really all that comfortable bein here. Sure, he expected him to have come for his brother only, but that was no reason to force him into a situation he was not comfortable with. Charles sounded proud of his brother, but he didn't look like he wanted to do much socializing for himself. With Luke apparently having things in control, Franck thouht that maybe he should make it easier on Charles too. "If you prefer, we could go to a table over there. You'll still have your brother in your line of sight but you won't be in the middle with everyone if you don't want to mingle with them." Then again, he might prefer to be alone completely. But Franck thought people might be more inclined to go and talk to him if he were on his own, it was why he said it like that.

Charles couldn’t say he was as comfortable to be in a social event as his brother or Frank could be but he could certainly survive. He wouldn’t be acting otherwise. Sure he might prefer being somewhere he could be alone and spend time with himself but he was doing fine in social events, especially if it was to help his brother get the dream career he wanted. It was funny how bland he could look in comparison to Luke. Then again, he did hear some people thinking that his brother was swinging the other way but he knew he didn’t after all, he caught him staring at a few girls back then and he knew better.
The idea of being a bit afar from the group of people appealed to him for sure so he agreed on what Frank suggested. “That sounds like a better idea.” He agreed. Besides, it would allow him to chill a little as his introverted side was starting to act up. Knowing that his brother was doing fine was helping him relax a little. It was funny how he would still be protective of him even now that they were older.

Franck was glad they could put aside the awkward moment from last time. He misread the mood and almost kissed him, but he wouldn't do it anymore. He understood, that was not Charles' orientation, and Franck was not the kind to force his way onto people. He didn't think you could grow to like someone you did not, especially when they weren't your type at all, beginning with gender. He wouldn't flirt, but he still wanted to count Charles as a friend of his. And as a friend, it was natural for Franck to do this. It didn't require too much of him anyway, just ask Dominic if he minded he invited people and answer a few questions one might have about the music industry. It wasn't like Franck could do that. And if Dominic didn't want to talk of that, perhaps he could direct to someone who would be willing to. Anyway, Franck ended up not even needing to introduce them to one another. Charles' brother seemed a natural at this kind of thing.
With Luke managing things on his own, Franck turned his attention onto his brother. Charles didn't seem as inclined to meddle with people. It was why Franck suggested they sat down somewhere. They would still be with the crowd if one wanted to talk to them, but they would be away enough to feel more at ease. At least Charles. "You're not really into these kinds of things aren't you?" he said, more as a statement than a question. he had a bit of a sheepish smile while looking at him too, knowing that he was the one who invited him there. But he couldn't see Dominic joining for a simple one on one without there be drinks and music involved.

Charles did remember the fact that Franck almost kissed him the other day but he didn’t think much of it. It’s not like they argued or fought over it. What was the point of doing so? It’s not like Franck was trying anything else again even if it weirded him out at first. He wouldn’t mind having a friend though and was able to go past that moment. It was nice not to be in the middle of complete strangers while he was keeping an eye on his brother. It would have felt more awkward on his end had he to say. He could tell that Luke was enjoying himself even talking to a famous person such as Dominic Smith was. He didn’t notice however that the man in question was staring at them on occasions.
He smiled a bit at Franck’s question even though it probably wasn’t even one and nodded. “Not that much, I prefer acting itself but when you need to, you need to.” He added. Besides, he wouldn’t feel comfortable or at ease knowing his brother was out there. There might be big heads but he didn’t want his brother to get caught in whatever fraud there could be amongst agencies.

"Having some social skills help when you have to give interviews or go to premieres," he admitted. There were surprisingly a lot of introvets in the industry and each needed their own method to combat shyness in such moments. Maybe Charles didn't feel like he needed to do as much of an effort right now, since he was not under any spotlight and it was why he didn't try to hide it as much.
"What do you normally do in those moments to look more at ease?" Franck didn't know if anything could help Charles enjoy himself more, if that really wasn't his kind of thing, but maybe finding one interesting aspect to it would help. "Or what would you do instead of this?" Again, it was to see if he couldn't help him relax a bit. He hoped simply chatting with him would, as it was not formal and didn't require anything from Charles.

Charles nodded; he didn’t have problems going to interviews and attend to the social life part of his job. It was important to keep in touch with the public and answered questions that fans had. It helped with the show. “Indeed, it’s important for our job.” Knowing that Franck was working in the same kind of line as he was, they both knew that they had to be good-looking and friendly when you needed to be too. He just preferred to keep most of his private life private. That wouldn’t stop him from telling fans what he liked and disliked, such things, but he would rather keep most of his life private if he could.
He shrugged as Franck questioned him. “It’s just moments that will pass, it’s not too much of a big deal actually. I’m an actor for a reason.” He didn’t show it when he was too nervous for these or had a dislike for the mundane part of it. “I actually never thought of it, it’s just part of the job to me.” He admitted. Of course, he would enjoy a walk in the woods and things like this but he would be there if that meant supporting his brother in his first steps into becoming someone famous.

Charles only talked of such event from a career point of view. It was all work to him, something that had to be done, that you sign up for along with the rest and nothing more. It made franck think that he had to dislike those events then, or not feel too much at ease. "So it's all just work to you, is what you're saying. You wouldn't go otherwise." And yet he took on himself to go to support his brother as he tried to follow his dream. It was really nice of him, considering how much it cost him. Charles made it sound like it was nothing, that he saw it as something to do that would be done soon enough, but Franck thought it was sad if that were the case. It also meant he worked hard instead of doing something he truly enjoyed.
Franck placed himself more comfortably on the chair as he stare right back at Charles, thinking about it. "What would you be doing then, if you weren't here?" He wondered about it. Franck didn't know him all that well, he had no idea what his hobbies were, what he liked to do.

Charles wasn’t much of a career man but he did enjoy the acting part. What he didn’t like as much as the rest of it, showing yourself to public events, taking interviews, and sharing parts of your life. He’d leave that to bigger stars and he knew it was why he wasn’t as big as others were, take, for example, Franck. He was his opposite in every way. Made him wonder why he was there in the first place, probably for the same reasons as his brother. “I wouldn’t go unless I had a reason to.” He admitted to the other guy. He still wanted to show support to his brother who was living the dream there but he also wanted to make sure that his brother was talking to the right people and not getting any unwanted attention. He wouldn’t forgive himself if it was the case. “I don’t hate talking to people, that’s not what I’m saying, I would rather only focus on my acting career than the rest.” He said to Franck, not wanting the guy to think that he was a savage guy; he just was very private. Was there something wrong with it?
It was true that they didn’t know each other well, he had his hobbies and tended to be more the type of guy who was enjoying staying at home instead of constantly going out. But he wouldn’t be against walks outside in the woods where he could resource himself. “I enjoy hiking, it brings you down to earth and you get to enjoy the views depending on where you’re going.” He wondered if Franck would survive a day with him up in the mountains for a moment.

Franck could respect that an introvert might prefer to stay inside and not go out unless he really had to or wanted to. He was more of a socialite than that himself, but he was not going as hard as, let's say, Dominic. He could understand not liking to sell yourself in interviews and the like. When it was something light and fun, it could be nice, but they too often tried to veer it into a conversation about your personal life. Franck might be gay and open about it, he didn't like talking of this, as he didn't want it to be the most defining trait about him. "I see. Like work or..." Franck said, turning his head towards where they had last seen Charles' brother. It was the impression he got from Charles. This was not his kind of place and probably not his kind of crowd either, even if Franck would argue there was all kinds tonight.
"No, no, I get it," Franck assured as Charles tried to explain his point. "You have your circle of friends and they might not be here, making it feel like a business meeting. But it's casual so it's not really." No surprise he was not feeling all that comfortable then. Charles was out of his element. While this could be over quickly with Charles not having to deal with this ever again, Franck still wanted the guy to enjoy himself a bit. So he tried to strike a conversation with him, see what could come out of it.
He did not expect it to be hiking. "Hiking? In mountains? You must have to travel some way to get to one, no?" Maybe not. Franck had never gone hiking before. He couldn't say he went to woods or mountains much either. "Did you visit many places, do you have a favorite one?" He might not know much about hiking, but if that could have him talk and not see the time passing by, he was down to learn more about it.
