Franck loved his job. A televiion show was a great opportunity. If it took off, you had a chance of having a steady income as you film season after season of material. That meant less running around to do auditions, time when you were not paid and could stress you. Then again, Franck couldn't say he spent a great deal of time jobless since his childood. He just had one of those faces. Still, today, he may be a tiny bit more stressed than normal. He knew that SARAH CARSON spent some time in the office, talking with the producers and director. He knew why. Her boyfriend and herself shared the news, she was pregnant. It was a great news for her and her boyfriend, a slightly less good one for the show. After all, she played his love interest. Such a news can change things drastically. He knew that his character was meant to get closer to his ex, does that mean they would forward this plot? Would they use her pregnancy in the story instead to create more drama? They had to have been discussing all of the options already and took their final decision now. He was quite curious to know which one it was. Franck tried to be discreet, but he did lurk in her direction to see when this meeting would be done and she'd be alone to know about it. He assumed he could just wait for them to make the annoucement to all, but he really wanted to know, as it may affect him as well. Plus he wanted to congratulate her and see how she was handling all of this. She was such a sweet, but nervous person. Right now, his care for her and his curiosity were battling each other as the reason he most wanted to speak to her. Whichever won, when he saw her sat down on a chair, alone, he saw this as an opportunity. He went straight for her. "Hey," he said to announce himself before sitting down next to her. "I didn't get the chance to congratulate you, that' great news. I hope you guys are both happy." Despite it possibly being just a prologue to what he really wanted to talk to her about, he really meant it. He was truly happy for her. And a tad envious too, but not enough for it to sour his feelings towards it. He did get a little more serious though after it. "What have they said about it, are you gonna stick around for the rest of the season?"

Sarah was aware that her job wasn’t an easy one, especially when you were the face and if you were pregnant, it had to fit the show if you wanted to keep it that way. There were various things you could do about it and quite honestly, it made her a tad nervous to know what they would end up doing about her character. She spent a few times with the producers as they tried to find the best way and they did as they would let her character be pregnant and thought of a storyline for them. After all, Franck was her love interest and speaking of which she smiled as she saw him. He was one of those people who could calm her, just like Jerry and she liked that about him. She was such a nervous person otherwise.
“Hi Franck.” She said to him, as she turned to face him when he was sitting next to her. The news of her pregnancy was already running around the set and she had a few people who congratulated her already but she knew that a lot of people, just like her had questions about the show. “Thanks, we are, things are going well.” She told him in all honestly. She was glad that she had Jerry to calm her whenever she was stressed and he was taking time for her too so she didn’t have to worry too much about it.
“I’ll stick around for the rest of the season but I can’t say more.” She added as she was slightly amused. “You’re the first one who dared to ask me the question.” She said to him since she was aware that people looked at her with questioning eyes.

Franck sometimes had issues with his character. His morals weren't exactly his. Then again, he never had been in a happy relationship only to feel some sparks for another person. He liked to think he'd break up before doing anything with the other person, but who knows? He certainly would be ashamed of himself if he did differently. Besides, he thought his character and Sarah's had a great relationship and he had to admit that he did wish he'd end up staying with her and not really going back wit his ex, even with her being the main character of the show. She should end up with her best friend. He thought it was what the writers planned for, but you could never know until you got the script, and he got they wanted their characters to get closer again before anything like this happened. But with Sarah pregnant, it could change so many things.
"How long have you been? Were you able to know the gender yet?" he asked, referring to her baby. He couldn't say he knew at what time you were able to tell the sex of the child and he vaguely remembered how they usually found out their pregnancy around the sixth or eighth week, but it had to be more than that by now, right? Again, it was not something he searched too much about. It would have been weird if he did.
He nodded, though thought it was sad if they chose to write her character off after the end of the season. Of course, if she chose to raise her child and stop working for a time, it would be her decision and he shouldn't do anything to stop her, but if that came from the producers, he thought it was a bad call. She admitted that he was the first to ask her. "Well, I guess it's because it will affect my character after yours," he said to try and find a reason why he was the one who asked while everyone else kept quiet. He didn't want to sound opportunistic though and felt it was what it sounded like. "I mean, I wouldn't want my onscreen girlfriend to leave me, so of course I'd like to know what will happen. Or lose a real life friend." he added with a chuckle.

Sarah was aware that her pregnancy was going to put the show on a hold or that they would have to find a way to play through it. She wasn’t sure what they would do with the other seasons and the scripts that they had planned for the future but she was happy to have the baby and that Jerry was happy of it as well. She couldn’t have asked for a better father than Jerry. She thought that he was perfect and so carrying for others and his friends; he was the best options a girl could dream of.
“Not yet, I was planning to do a gender reveal party eventually, once I’ll be able to know, would you like to come?” She asked him. They had been screen partners for quite some time. She would certainly invite him and anyone she was close to on this set if they liked. She bet that Jerry would love having his friends around too. “I’m only a couple of weeks but I’m still going to appointments for checkups.” She said, there were going to have much more of these, for sure.
She didn’t give bad intentions to Franck though, thinking he was genuine about it. “Of course, but be sure we’ll still be friends, no matter what happens after that.” She said as she rested her hands on her stomach. It was so strange to know that something was growing inside of her.

Sarah not playing the lead might make her pregnancy a bit less of a big deal, but she was in pretty much every episode, just like Fanck was. And she was playing his girlfriend in the show, even if his ex was the lead in there. It still meant a lot and that was definitely something the writers and producers would have to work around if they wanted to continue. Franck did hope they would not simply write her off. He knew that his character was getting closer to the main character but he was still supposed to date Sarah's and he didn't want for things to go too fast in that plotline. From what he read, he couldn't even tell yet whether he was supposed to get back with the ex or stay with Sarah's character, so that could go either way for sure, but he still wished for thing to run smoothly. In a way, a pregnancy plot could work with the show, or to could just find a way to hide it. It wouldn't be the first time television played with that.
Franck figured none of them would know until the higher ups made their decision. He was kind of hoping that they told her already but it seemed like they were still thinking about it. It was not like they would have much to say after that, Franck will have to deal with whatever decision they were to take. He was not a whole lot worried about himself. At most would it change a bit of his character's plot line, but it was nothing that couldn't happen at any moment with every new script handed to them. Because of that, he decided to focus on Sarah and her state.
He smiled as she invited. Franck always tried t be nice with his co-stars and was never against spending time outside of the studio with them but he didn't know whether Sarah would consider him someone she was close to or not. It would appear that she believed so. "I would love to. Is it like those baby showers? Ah, but I thought that was more just for women. Then again, maybe not anymore..." It was hard sometimes to know what stuck with tradition and what changed nowadays. He didn't see why women should be the only ones invited, but maybe it was because they didn't think the men cared enough? He couldn't blame them, but he still believed they might enjoy it, or at least to have a little celebration with the gender reveal as she said and everything.
He nodded. "Then there's no reason to get you off the show. We'll be done filming before it shows. It will be more about getting you back in shape before the next season, if we're signed up for another." Which he hoped for, of course. That was the advantage of television, with the right show, you just got yourself a steady income for a few years before having to check for more work.
He didn't question her too much about the checkups. That was a private matter and he would feel a bit ucomfortable talking of those. He laughed. "That's for sure." He looked down at her hands. It was weird. Frack was definitely the family type of guy yet that was something he didn't know if he could get. True, he lived in a country where gay couples could adopt or even get a surrogate mother to have a biological child. That was possible. But Franck also felt like it would further divide his family, with his mother not accepting who he was and everything. Even if he was not ready for a kid yet, a part of him was a bit envious of her state. "I wish you all the happiness in the world, to you and your boyfriend."

Sarah was aware that being pregnant when acting brought its load of challenge and despite her nervousness and panic attacks she could get, Jerry made her understand that everything would be fine. Sure, there were times where it would be hard for her to just sit and be chill but she was confident that nothing too bad would happen to her career. It was important to her to keep her jobs, but she could temporary step out of screen time if she needed to and go back to modeling. She knew how to pose when people needed it and was confident that she could show off her baby bump in a photo shoot when people would ask for it. She just needed a bit of time first to think through it.
She never had a lot of friends though, due to her shy and nervous nature, but she was willing to talk to Franck; he was nice and reminded her a bit of Jerry back then when he was flirting with her. She never imagined that it would lead towards them having a family though, but she was happy that it did. “It’s not a baby shower, it’s just a party to know either the baby is a boy and a girl though we could probably do both at the same time and men can come too if I want to.” She said with a light laugh. She was hoping he would come, she felt like she could consider Franck as a friend and she didn’t want to turn him down.
That was true, she would have to stay in shape and have a good diet if she wanted to get back on screen. “Oh, I’m sure we will find a solution.” That was strange coming out from her lips though. Jerry did start rubbing off on her.
“Thank you Franck, it means a lot to me.” She said in all honesty to him as she gave him a warm smile in response to his kind words.

He chuckled at how she phrased it. She was right though, she was the one inviting people, she could invite whoever she wanted then. Franck knew it was the kind of stuff people liked to do, this sort of geder reveal. Or at least a party to celebrate the good news amongst friends and family. He'll have to think of something to bring if that ever happened as a gift. Sarah and her boyfriend had more than enough money to buy everything they needed to welcome a baby, he didn't doubt it one second, so he'll have to think of something.
He wondered if they would put her pregnancy in the story. They could. It was the kind of show that could easily add that without it sounding out of place. Okay, they were technically university students, but they could end up having kids too. Franck had noticed how nervous Sarah could be at times though, so this newfound confidence was surprising but nice to see. "This is not something you need to worry about for now anyway, and it will be easy to take care of. A dietician, a personal trainer and it will be alright," he confirmed with a nod. Everyone seemed to have one in their business after all. Franck trained regularly, although maybe not always with someone coaching him.
He gave her a warm smile as she thanked him. "Of course." A part of him was still a bit envious. Due to his upbringing, he was not sure he would be able to have a family yet wished for one, someday. He still considered himself to be religious and it sometimes came in conflict with his way of life and his work. He didn't want to think about it for now however, he wanted to focus on Sarah.

Sarah was willing to invite anyone from the cast for the reveal party and people who were close to Jerry too. It would be fun and she liked to surround herself with the people she was comfortable with even if half of the time she was just a wreck ball of stress and nervousness. She knew how she was and she probably sent off that kind of aura too. It made her wonder as to how the producers were still putting up with her especially when she found out she was pregnant at first. She was so nervous about it that it probably showed when she was at work. Luckily she was a good enough actor for it not to be noticeable on screen but still, you had to be blind not to notice, right?
She nodded aware of it and that the show would do anything they believed was right to make the story right for it. Who knows what was planned ahead of them. They might be university students but that kind of plot would work well. Or they could also work out a way for her to be off for a couple of times before she would hop back on the show.
“I promise I’ll give you a date of the party, I might end up inviting a lot of the people from this set too.” She said with a wider smile. They would have to book for a wider room if that was the case but money wouldn’t be a problem for her.

Sarah and Franck might not be very close, but they were working together for a little while now. Not only that, but they were playing lovers. This meant they had a lot of scenes together, intimate scenes. A chemistry formed naturally between them, even if their feelings were nothing like those between their characters. Besides, Franck was a very family-oriented person and was really happy for Sarah for her pregnancy. He didn't think whether she was happy of it herself or not. Considering she was in talk with the producers on the show to know what they would do about it, he assumed it meant she was happy with her state and planned to keep the child. She wouldn't have bothered telling anyone otherwise, he figured.
He wondered how long she had known but didn't want to pry. Again, they might not know each other enough for her feeling like she should talk to him abotu such private matters. So instead, he chose to focus on what the show producers would do. Would they add her pregnancy to the story, would they find a way for her to leave when it would be too obvious to hide it and have her come back after birth? He might have thought of it a bit, but he kept goign back to how lucky he thought she was for having a kid. He wished this would happen to him someday but he doubted it. He wasn't sure he would ever have that chance. And with no siblings, he couldn't even be the cool, spoiling uncle.
He was surprised she would invite him to a baby party but smiled. "Really? That would be great. Or we can do a little something for you here to celebrate, at least when you'll have to leave the set," he answered. He did think they needed to plan a little something to congratulate her at one point, but he would have to see what the others thought about and when that would happen. Maybe he was giving it away by mentioning it now, but it was just a suggestion for now.

Sarah was happy with the news now that she had told Jerry about it. She had worried so much about the outcomes since it wasn’t planned but knowing that he was as happy as she was now eased her worries a lot. It was why she went to talk to the producers about it and started telling her co-workers that she was pregnant. She was looking forward to building her family and while it would mean she would have to take a maternity leave she knew that she would be able to come back to how things were.
She also had in mind to have a photoshoot that was announcing her pregnancy for the fans even if they were probably already speculating about it since it wasn’t the first time she was rumoured to be pregnant. She didn’t care now since it was the truth and considering that they already started going furniture shopping it was inevitable.
She smiled as he was happy for her and suggested they could do something for here too. “It would be nice to have a reunion before I leave the set.” She agreed with him even if it did blow away some of the surprise effects, there were many ways she could be surprised.

Wasn't she lucky? He was happy for Sarah. She did seem happy too about it. It was one thing to put up a front for people when thanking them for their congratulations, but she was talking about baby parties and medical appointements... Clearly, this was a joyful thing. And she briefly said that they were both happy at the beginning, which was also good. It would have been awful had her boyfriend not want the child and left her. "Do you have plans for the two of you as well? Are you gonna marry or something?" Franck was rather old school. He knew their society didn't require nor judged too harshly people who had babies without being married. It was more and more normal. But he still felt like marriage was a strong foundation on which building a family. That was the one thing he could more easily do like evey other couple. If he could get a guy first, that is.
He had a nod of approval. "That goes without saying." On a few sets he had been on, they would do small things like that, for example to wish someone a happy birthday. It didn't have to be big, especially when you had a massive crew, but she was an important cast member and it was a happy thing that was happening to her. Franck felt they had to celebrate it in some way.

The talk of baby and reunions with colleagues pleased her. She would be happy to see them one last time before she’d be on maternity leave. She wondered if Jerry would take a break too. It’s not like they couldn’t afford it after all and she thought it might be something he would do either she liked it or not. She had a great boyfriend had she to say! She smiled a bit shyly as he questioned her about her future with Jerry. “Honestly, the thought never crossed my mind.” She admitted to him. “I don’t know if it was part of his plans but we never talked about it.” She added. They were happy the way they were and they didn’t necessarily need to seal their vows with a wedding, it sure would be nice though. “If it gets in the talk you’ll all be invited though.” She assured him. She liked having the people she cared about by her side and it would be a great moment for sure.
She nodded, agreeing with him on the matter. This was being a good day for her. She didn’t know if Franck was in a good mood too or in a good day altogether. “I’m sure the people who work for the script will find a way.” She did hope she wouldn’t have to leave the show completely but who knows. If it was the case, then she would just have to find a new one.

Franck nodded as she explained they never talked of marriage before. From what he understood, the two had been dating for a long time. Franck knew that if he had been with the same person for this long, he would have asked for a marriage, but he also knew not everyone felt the same. Some married only when they were ready to have children. Others never did. Society allowed all of these relationships and Franck didn't want to shame Sarah, regardless of the choice they would make. "I suppose you haven't talked too much of children either, right? The two often come together, but you don't always have big conversations about it." Sometimes, Franck wondered if he should say straight to a guy's face that he was looking for a lifelong partner when he'd be dating. They would probably run away fast if he did, but at least it would be clear what he was looking for. He laughed as she promised him an invitation if that happened though. "It would be my pleasure to come see you in a white dress," he assured, still smiling at their conversation.
She looked far less stressed than earlier in the day when she went to talk with the producers about the news of her pregnancy. He nodded, comforting her about the scriptwriters. "It's not the first time a show has to deal around an actress' pregnancy. I guess it will all depend on the dates." He mentioned it before too. If it would show soon, they would likely add it to the plot. If not, they could maybe finish the season and hope she lost her weight for the beginning of the next one, or give her less screen time until then. Franck wouldn't be against his character becoming a dad though. For one thing, he always felt a bit uncomfortable playing the scenes where he might be falling back in love with his ex, knowing his character was dating someone else. Besides, it might be his only chance of being a dad and he would take it.

Sarah didn’t want to feel pressured to be married. She may have been dating Jerry for a long time but she felt like, for marriage, you needed to be truly committed to that person. She didn’t think she wasn’t though, far from that, but it frightened her a little. She feared that she might not be enough no matter how often he would remind her. It was funny how they were able to still be with each other despite her nerves wrecking her half of the time. She didn’t know how the man did to handle her like this. “No, we didn’t but we will welcome the child with open arms.” She said to Franck with a smile. She might not be kind to spread her personal life to the world but she definitely was happy about the news of her being pregnant. Besides, they might have to adjust the show depending on what they wanted to do with her character. “I would never forget my on-screen friends” she said with a bigger smile.
Some people might never guess that she was a walking ball of anxiety. She was very good at hiding it, especially when she was doing her acting job. She never mentioned it much in interviews either. She thought it might only scare people away if they knew how much worry was going through her head in a day. Sometimes, she might joke about it though, giving a few hints here and there but she never really had an open heart conversation with the public.
“Aw, thanks for being there for me, I wouldn’t want to leave the show if I could.” She said to Franck. She surely had been afraid to hear what the producer might have to say. “Besides, my on-screen ‘boyfriend’ needed to know too.” She added, grinning. It was where Jerry was starting to rub off on her.

Franck nodded, understanding what Sarah was talking about. At least she was not saying that they found out she was pregnant and chose to give it up before it showed. As understanding as Franck tried to be, he had to admit that he was more pro-life than pro-choice. He tried to be comprehensive, but it was something that went against his beliefs. In other words, he wouldn't have been mean to Sarah had she just admitted she got rid of the child growing inside of her, but he would have lost some esteem for her. He didn't want to think of that though. He didn't want people to accuse him of having an outdated mentality. Plus she welcomed that surprised. With her boyfriend, no less. This was the best outcome possible.
Sarah also look far too happy right now. It made Franck smile too. "That is great. I'm sure that child will be lucky. Once again, conratulations." A family was something Franck aspired to, yet thought was out of reach for him. He was aware that gay marriage was legal, so was adoption, but he felt like it would be something a lot harder for him to achieve, if ever, than others. He was yet ready to give up on that dream of his but he already felt the occasional pang in his heart whenever he was with someone, like Sarah, who was celebrating her upcoming motherhood.
Franck was not privvy to what the writers planned for the characters as the season continued, let alone any future ones. Sarah wouldn't be the first actress who would have to fit her pregnancy in the schedule though, by either having the character pregnant too or by having them move away for a while. Franck was a bit critical of the scenes where they made people wonder if his character and the main actress would come back together. He liked the dynamic of their characters moving on. The fact they made his character date someone else was also a reason. Franck was fine to do it for a role, but he was not comfortable with what such actions could imply. He didn't want to pretend like it was alright to see several people. It wasn't, at least not to him.
He nodded. "I'm sure the writers and producers would rather you don't either. They just need to figure out what's their best option. They said nothing specific to you yet?" He thought she had a conversation with them. But maybe they couldn't promise her something without seeing how that would fit their story so far. He laughed at what she called him. "Well your on-screen boyfriend wants to congratulate your real-life boyfriend."
