Beatrice wasn’t bothered that Kai was talking to other people. It was a party, so it was bound to happen and she couldn’t just follow him around like a lost puppy even if she probably would indeed get lost in Dominic’s house. It had been a good idea to have Audrey giving her the tour of the places she was allowed to go to. While she was used to live in bigger houses and the likes, the ones you didn’t live in often turned into a maze when you didn’t know the layout.
She turned around when she heard Kai’s voice, almost startling at it since she didn’t expect him to join her so soon. She wouldn’t mind talking to Audrey a bit more in the future and if she was indeed too hot she could ask her if she could borrow a swimming suit.
She nodded at him, smiling a little. “Yes, thank you.” She said to Kai. She didn’t mean to write to Kai so fast but her parents could be quite a burden and also draining and she didn’t think that she needed that. A party might not be what she would go to in the first place but it would certainly change her mind knowing who the host was.

In a way, Kai remembered how he might have been flirting a bit with Audrey before. He didn't think Dom would hold it against him. But she didn't respond and Kai didn't pursue. He wasn't actively after her but remembering it as they sat all three together for a moment amused him. He had to focus on Beatrice this time however, and maybe it was what really amused him in the situation, how he tried to change both their minds on different occasions. He did feel like he might have been interrupting something with how jumpy Beatrice had been at his approach but he was also a bit used to this from her. She was too nervous, really.
"I didn't interrupt anything, did I?" he asked her. He moved close of her as he talked. Was it why she was nervous, because she had a private discussion with Audrey? Girls could be weird sometimes and nervous when someone they didn't mean to talk to could catch a glimpse of their conversation, even when there was nothing to be ashamed of in there. He thought she needed to go out and meet the others at some point but he understood that she was not like him. It would take her a bit more time to gather her courage and do just that. "Do you want me to get you soemthing to drink?" he suggested.

Beatrice never was doing good when someone jumped in conversation and tended to startle for the mean reason. Most of the time, it was because her parents were the ones who did this and not her friends. Of course, Minori knew how to handle them and she had a feeling that Kai was slowly figuring it out as well but she didn’t feel like pointing it at Kai. She wasn’t the type of person who would whine about her family, even if they upset her. They still were her parents and it upset her to know that they didn’t want her to make her own decisions.
“No you didn’t. I just didn’t see you coming.” She said to him and Audrey smiled at Kai. Even if she wasn’t blind to the fact that he had tried to flirt with her before, she preferred to focus on her studies and she still sometimes was thinking about the boyfriend that she left back in New York. Being around her brother sure entertained her enough to forget about it and started wondering about if Beatrice was Kai’s new date even if it didn’t always seem like it. Beatrice smiled at Kai and nodded. “Sure.” She said to him lightly. She honestly was feeling better knowing that the party Kai had brought her to didn’t seem as grand as the rumours said they were.

Kai gave the two girls a brief nod. At least he was not interrupting some girl talk, although he was the kind to just want and jump in on it with them. He was kind of curious what kind of conversations they could be having, but he somehow felt like the biggest gossip queen between them would be him. Or Dom. But he was not here right now. So him.
Without telling him what exactly, Beatrice still agreed to a drink. He was not dumb to go with something with lots of alcohol though. He felt like she might not be the kind to hold it very well. But he nodded again and got up on his feet to fetch her something. "How about you?" he asked Audrey, since she was still around with them. She might prefer to head back to her brother but she was here with Beatrice for now and he should ask her as well. Unless she decided to leave them alone now, but he still had to ask if she wanted a drink for him to get.

Audrey had been telling to Bea that she was living with her brother because she was studying at a nearby university. It impressed Beatrice as she wondered what the subject of her studies was. It was amusing to see how different from her brother she seemed to be as Audrey gave off more serious vibes than the host did. She also admitted to Beatrice that she was shy when it came to being on a stage, unlike Dominic and Beatrice could relate to it. She did feel she was having a connection with his sister and it put her more at ease knowing that there were people around her who were similar to her too.
Audrey nodded and asked him to check on Dom if he asked her brother about drinks because she didn’t want more alcohol than necessary in her drink. Audrey then asked Kai if she interrupted anything because she could go talk to other people, Beatrice shook her head but she didn’t know for sure about Kai. She didn’t want to be rude to him who had managed to get her away from her parents once again.

Kai was thankful to Audrey. She did have a calmer personality than her brother or himself, something that matched with Beatrice. Kai could try and follow the girl's rhythm, he would end up pushing her at one point, take her out of her comfort zone. It was already the case with her being here. He wondered how many pool parties she went to. And they were strangers to her, which would only make it harder on her no doubt. At least with Audrey, she didn't end up in a corner, all by herself. But Kai also didn't want to leave her alone to talk to others. He brought her here, he had to watch over her.
He laughed at the assumption that Dominic would get them drunk fast. "Some fruity cocktail with as little alcohol in it as possible, got it," he replied. He had almost been tempted to suggest coming back with strong liquor juste to see Beatrice's reaction. She had to have drunk alcohol before, but he realised he never paid attention to whether or not she ever did when given the chance. He was about to go when Audrey asked if she interrupted anything. Kai laughed. "I already have your brother turning her into my girlfriend, don't start too. You can stay for as long as you want." He did notice Bea shaking her head. She could have done so just to be polite, she was able of such foolishness, but he didn't think so. If that were the case, he would have to read the mood when he'd come back with the drinks.
He left to join Dominic again. "Hey bartender, what do you suggest for two fien young women? I don't know for one, but I would suspect the other to be a very light drinker," he told him jokingly, pointing in direction of Beatrice and his sister. Kai was fine with whatever he could get in Dom's bar but he wasn't as certain for the girls and could use the man's help in making something for everyone.

Beatrice couldn’t say that she went to various pool parties and that it certainly was a change of pace for her. She wasn’t comfortable being in the middle of it though but since Kai got her out of the situation, she was willing to at least try not to freak out while being in the middle of a party of strangers and let alone, famous strangers. She was starting to be comfortable amongst these people though and talking to Audrey helped as she realized that Dominic’s sister was far from being like him. Made her wonder how they could be related but she knew that siblings weren’t always alike in the end. What mattered was that they cared for each other right? She did wish sometimes that she had one but then again, what if they turned out to be like her parents? It might be best that not even if it would have given her a possible confident. Minori was filling that part pretty well.
Audrey nodded and noticed the blush that was on Beatrice’s face as he said Dominic mistook her for his girlfriend. “Dom can be like this at times.” She just said hoping it would ease Beatrice a little.
They kept talking a bit more as Kai went towards Dominic who was in the middle of preparing drinks for his other group of friends and let along with Zachariah as Kai joined in and asked him for cocktails that weren’t heavy on alcohol as he referred to his sister and his friend. “Seems like you found a match for Audrey, might make her stick around longer.” He said to Kai as he referred to his sister. He knew what kind of drink Audrey liked and he would be nice to them. Besides, he had been heavy with Zach and liked the idea. He got the two drinks ready for Kai. “This should work.” He said to Kai as he got the two drinks ready. “And this is on the house.” He added as he gave one to Kai too knowing of his tastes.

Beyond the fact that Beatrice was shy, Kai thought she might not have gone to a lot of partis because of her parents, who sounded quite controlling from what he saw and heard. Mayeb she hung out by a friend's pool but a party, they might have said no to that. Well, it would be a new experience for her, but he wouldn't force her to do anything if she was too shy to get a swim suit nd jump in the pool. Also, Audrey might be nice and everything, but he figured he would have to keep her around the whole time, as he suspected she might be too enrvous to talk to anyone else otherwise. He did tell Dom she was a princess he rescued, well, he would have to keep to his words and watch over her. He couldn't spend too much time with Dom while leaving her alone then.
"Yes. Your sister helepd her calmed down, she was not having a good day before that." Dominic would have intimidated her. Kai knew that his friend could understand. They both had big personalities that could have that effect on certain people. Audrey was a bit more subdued, more calm, it helped in that case. Dom seemed to know his way around cocktails. Kai watched as he prepared two, trusting that the man would have a better idea what his own sister would like. And then he made one for Kai also, who laughed at the joke. "I wish all bartenders were like that. Thanks," he replied, carefully grabbing the three drinks to bringing them back to where the women were.
"Sory for the wait. Here you go," he said, movign the drinks towards Audrey so she could grab one and then handing the other similar one to Beatrice. "I told Dom to go easy, so any complain, take them to him," he added as he sat back next to Beatrice with his own glass.

Dominic nodded his head lightly as Kai talked to him of Beatrice, it made sense but he was content with it even if she wasn’t a guest he would have normally invited as he personally preferred extroverted people who were willing to party all day with him. There was a first for everything since he had a few that fit that mold today. “That’s fine, I have a few people around she might get along with.” He let his friend know. He shrugged as Kai thanked him and let him get the drinks to his sister and Kai’s ‘friend’. He wasn’t against having one more person around as he was used to much larger parties.
Audrey smiled at Kai and thanked him when she came back to where she and Beatrice were talking. It was fun to get to know each other better and Beatrice was thankful that Kai told his friend to go easy with her drink. She didn’t think she would hold alcohol well, at least, not as well as Kai did. She rarely drank before even during parties as it wasn’t much of her things. “Thanks.” She said softly to Kai and Audrey turned her focus to Kai. “So, what’s up?” She asked him, curious and not wanting Beatrice to feel like she was the center of attention all the time.

Dominic had mentioned before that he brought a few introverts to his party, hence why it was a smaller one today. It didn't stop Kai from chuckling. "The idea of you knowing introverts really weird me out," he teased. Dominic was such an extrovert. more than that, he was an attention seeker. The idea that he could get along well with introverts didn't sound right. Still, if it prevented Beatrice from feeling too intimidated... Kai could see her just clinging onto him in silence or finding a corner and sipping on the same glass for the duration of the party, avoiding eye contact with everyone. If she could not be like that, it was a good thing.
Audrey chose to stay with them and asked him how were things going. "Work as usual, I guess. You should come see the dogs, I think they doubled in size since you last saw them," he pointed out, remembering how they were mere puppies when she came to his place with her brother. "Oh, and it's not related to me, but my sister got a job for a video game she's really thrilled about. I think it's a franchise she loves and streamed a lot in the past and now she'll do some voice for it." It was funny how she kept acting like she was a streamer first. Kai would have thought she was a voice actress who did streaming on the side. But as long as she was happy, he supposed it was good. "What about you, are we going to see you on stage soon?" Did Beatrice realise who she was talking to, other than Dominic's sister? Maybe not, Kai had no way to tell. But he wanted to know, since Audrey decided to join her brother here and would need to resume her career eventually.

Dominic shrugged when Kai teased him, he wanted to get to know Ellie better, that was the point of the party and he figured that bringing other people like her would make her more comfortable. He was willing to tone down a little just for the day but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t enjoy himself either. Having Lindsey and Kai around proved that. They were going to have a blast later after a few shots in and he was determined to make the party memorable just as the other ones were. They might only not be as wild as they could get. “I’m trying, eh.” He said to him with a wink. “I definitely will when I have a moment.” He agreed with Kai to come and visit his pets, it could be a good time and they could spend some chill time at his home and find something fun to do when they were alone. He too was able of doing…calmer things when he wanted.
“That’s great for her, she was working hard for it, wasn’t she?” He asked Kai with a grin. People living their dreams, that was what L.A. was about and rare were the people who lived there with little dreams. No matter what the dream was, people found ways of achieving them the only problem was that some were less successful than others.
“Oh definitely, I am looking forward to it and you know I can’t handle not being on the stage for a long period of time, I need the attention that’s given to me.” He said to Kai. Beatrice was, obviously aware that it was a party with big names around, it was intimidating for sure but people like Kai and Dominic’s sister were helping her into not being too overwhelmed and besides, it was better than being stuck with her parents at the right moment.

Maybe he shouldn't talk about 'knowing introverts'. There were probably a lot in the industry and not just amongst those working for the celebrities. But they were very sociable people, the two of them. Pure extroverts. The amount of introverts able to follow them had to be relatively low. Or at least, it was what their image would let people to believe. Still, Dominic was a wild animal, and so it was funny to Kai to imagine him with a bunch of quieter people. He thought the guy might end up going crazy, if he had to slow down for them.
He wondered how Bea would take having someone like Dom around. Oh, she dealt with people like that before, but they generally didn't interact much with her, other than to boss her around. He was tempted to push her towards him a bit, force her to come out of her shell and speak. "Even changed my car to accomodate them," he said. Then again, the easy with which he sold the sports car proved how little he cared for it, meaning he probably shouldn't have bothered paying this much for one in the first place.
He nodded. He might not share a bond of blood with his sister, unlike Dominic and Audrey, but she meant just as must to him. Same for his brother. They were a family. Not a regular one, but one nonetheless. "I think she gave them good enough publicity playing their games, they wanted to show it with her playing a part in the next installment. It's not like it's her first voice acting gig after all." While she was making a name for herself streaming video games and the like, she was also a voice actress, like their father.
With the conversation seemingly ignoring Bea, kai felt it was time to bring her back at the front of it. "You think you'll want a swimsuit?" he asked her. Besides the pool, there was also the spa, and this was a pool party. "Or you can just sit by the pool if you prefer." He refrained from adding 'I suppose'. He didn't get exactly what upset her so much, other than her parents. He doubted she'd want to talk of this with the others around. He didn't want to leave her alone as much as possible. He was willing to get to a lounge chair for most of the day if need be, but he was hoping he could get her to try socializing a little more as well.

Beatrice didn’t know yet how she would react around Dominic or Kai in such a place but she was willing to participate at least a little. If that was going to allow her after that to have a moment of her own, she was willing to at least try to…even if it was frightening. It didn’t seem too wild. She too heard rumours about his parties! She didn’t want to get stuck in the middle of that! Dominic chuckled for a moment when they talked of Kai’s puppies. “They must be wild if you had to find a new car.” He said teasingly to his friend. It was good to have Kai at a party like this one, for entertainment. He might be able to tone down but he didn’t know for how long and if he would be really able to do so with a few drinks in.
Bea found comfort in the idea that his sister wasn’t as wild as the two were and that if she needed to, she might just go and talk to her a bit. She seemed down to earth and from what she heard, she was studying at university which meant a lot for people down here. Some tended to forget that a lot of stars had degrees from university while working their famous jobs. Dominic nodded at Kai when he said his sister was getting a deal for being a voice actor. “That is nice indeed.” He agreed.
The focus was back on Bea though, and she wasn’t sure she liked the attention. She nodded her head slowly when Kai asked about a swimming suit. Dominic’s sister indeed offered her one if she needed it. She might, the spa was tempting her and she would be able to cool down a bit from the stress her parents had given her. “I think I will get one.” She said. Dominic nodded, smiling at her. “Wonderful, I can get Audrey for you.” He said, waving at Kai and leaving them to fetch his sister.

Kai might have been a bit cruel to Beatrice bringing her here. She needed a way out from the trap that was a day with her parents and he threw her in another one. But he would be here is there was anything. Not that he didn't think there would be anything. And he didn't see why Beatrice couldn't handle it. Then again, he was so different in personality that it was often difficult for him to get how she could be such a ball of nerve and low self-esteem. Anyway, if there was anything, he figures she could just pretend falling asleep by the pool and not interact with them for a while.
Kai shrugged. "It's more that there are two huskies and it was a sports car. I know how big dogs like to pretend they are small puppies but my seat is clearly proving otherwise." If he wanted to bring his dogs around, he needed something a little bigger than that. Well, it was still more than a basic SUV model. And he did like that extra space in the end.
He smiled, glad that Beatrice was playing along. She sometimes needed a little push. Or more than a little one. He didn't get it because he didn't feel like Beatrice had that much of a problem with people. She was more softspoken, but he didn't think she was scared of being around people. Well, maybe her parents, but there weren't here.
They were now alone, at least until Audrey took her to get a swimsuit or something. "You doing alright?" he asked her. "Just relax. It's meant to be a regular pool party, no need to overthink it. Just do what you want." For a moment, he wondered if she ever have been to a pool party. Or a beach party. Or just any party. "We can also go if you're not comfortable..." he added. Dom might be a bit bummed at this, but Kai doubted the guy would be too upset at him for leaving. Kai didn't really think about how Beatrice would feel here. He knew she'd be shy but figured it would be fine with time. And he took her away from her parents, which was what she asked him to do.

Beatrice was of course, a bit afraid to be in such a party, especially with a few celebrities she could easily tell the name of. It was weird, and she felt a pressure to actually act decently not to give a bad impression on anyone. She didn’t want to be mean to Kai and tell him she wanted to go home already, even if it was what she intended to do at first. Luckily, Audrey was very nice and welcoming and made her feel more comfortable and less self-conscious about everything that was going on there. Dominic was very charismatic and sometimes, too charismatic for her it was intimidating. Between him and Kai she definitely preferred Kai’s calmer…charisma. It wasn’t as overbearing and she could handle it better.
Dominic nodded when they were talking about cars. It was something he could understand; needing more space for his dogs. “Are they going to survive a day without you?” He asked. Surely, they were used to it. Perhaps he could have suggested to Kai to bring his dogs to his party. He forgot he got those. When Beatrice agreed to borrow a swimming suit from his sister, he went back to get her and Beatrice was a bit relieved to know that Dominic wasn’t talking to them. It was so stresful to talk to someone as famous as he was! “I think..” She said when Kai questioned her once they were alone. She didn’t know if she would do alright, but a few moments in the spa would do her good for sure. It was always filled with calmer people so she would be down for it.
Besides, there was also Audrey. She had small hopes up that she wouldn’t mind her company. “I think I’ll be fine.” She finally let out when the two siblings came back. Audrey smiled at Beatrice. “You can come with me. We’ll get you one.” She said, leaving Dom with Kai. Then, Beatrice followed Audrey inside the house to get changed. Dominic smiled when he was alone with Kai. “I’m glad you could come, we’ll pretty much be the entertainers of this party today.” He said to his friend. It was a good thing that the friend he brought was similar to a few people but he and Kai knew how to get things started too. Lindsey would probably tag along with them as well.
